Kanchipuram: Kanchipuram or Kanchi (previously romanized as Kañci-pura, Conjevaram, is a famous temple city in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It served as the Capital city of thePallava Kingdom. It is also known by its former names Kanchiampathi, Conjeevaram, and the nickname “The City of Thousand Temples”. It is now the Administrative headquarters of Kanchipuram district. Kanchipuram is located 72 kilometers from Chennai, the capital city of the southern state of Tamil Nadu, India

Kanchi Sillk: His traditional occupation of Kanchipuram is silk sarees and agriculture. An estimated 5000 families is still involved in weaving silk sarees. There are 25 silk & cotton yarn industries, 60 dyeing units, 50 rice mills and 42 other industries within the Kanchipuram municipal limits.
Rajiv Gandhi Memorial: The Rajiv Gandhi Memorial is a memorial to the late Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi at the site where he was assassinated at Sriperumbudur, India. Rajiv Gandhi Memorial is just five minutes on foot from Sriperumbudur bus stand. There are no holidays for this memorial. The visiting hour is between 10 am and 6 pm.
